Main Street Highland Park Announces its 2011 Events

Ten Thousand Villages will host its first winter event of 2011 this Sunday, January 24, from noon to 4 pm.
15 % of all sales go to benefit A Better World Cafe.
Sample bean soup, corn bread, and baked goods from the "Women's Bean Project" of Ten Thousand Villages.

Here at Main Street Highland Park, we are very excited about the 2011 Calendar of Events, which features not only established favourites like the Street Fair (May 22), the Townwide Garage Sale (Sept 10 & 11) and Arts in the Park (Sept 25), Restaurant Week, but also some new events.

February 1. The gifts will be on display at the window at 320 Raritan Avenue.

As we did last year here in downtown Highland Park, THESE participating downtown businesses (more to come!) have supplied a gift from their store, which will go on display at 320 Raritan February 1st. One winner will be selected, and she or he will win everything in the window.


Participants may enter to win more than once, but may enter ONLY once per participating store. Visit each participating business for over 20 chances to win!

Tajel Patel bought the wine and liquor store at 97 Woodbridge Ave. in Highland Park three years ago, it was half the size, dark and not well maintained.

Today, Highland Park Wine and Liquors (formerly Adam's Liquors) is a bright, spacious and organized store, where Patel is able to offer a larger variety of wine and liquor to his customers.

“We wanted to expand. We needed more space to offer a bigger variety. We have more wines, liquors, kosher selections and a very large variety of beer.”
