It’s the season for giving and Elsie Foster-Dublin is asking the community to give their time, talents and gifts to make sure the Second Annual “It Takes a Village” holiday party is a success.
The party is from 1-3 p.m. Dec. 25, 2009 at the Highland Park Senior/Youth Center, 220 South Sixth Ave.
While Foster-Dublin, Highland Park Borough Council president, organizes the party, it’s sponsored by the community, she said.
“The idea is for the sponsors to be local businesses, houses of worship, groups and organiza-tions. We’re asking for food, gifts, toys and $5 gift cards,” she said. “The emphasis is giving back. It takes a village to provide for those who don’t have anything during the holiday season.”
She’s also looking for musicians to provide MORE
