PJ's Coffee Begins Coffee Ground Recycling

Farmers' Market Open Friday, June 13

The coffee at PJ’s Coffee, 315 Raritan Ave, does more than perk up hundreds of Highland Park residents every morning. It perks up the garden of soil scientist Loren Muldowney.Muldowney is a Highland Park resident who works for Soil BioSystems Consulting and Rutgers University. The Dowtown Highland Park Farmers' Market opens Friday, June 13! Residents and merchants have been asking to have the Market open earlier in the year, to take advantage of the early strawberries, cherries, lettuces and peas. This year a select group of farmers will begin on June 13, with the remainder arriving over the next few weeks. For a "fresh sheet" listing what's available and when, click here.

Random Acts of Fun is Back!

Planting Day a Success

Main Street Highland Park and the Downtown Merchants are kicking off Random Acts of FunThursday, June 12 with our Community Talent Show. This year, Random Acts will be held on three dates, in three separate locations. For more information, and to find out more about what's happening downtown, see our calendar here. Thank you to all who participated in this year's Planting Day on May 17.
We planted all 107 planters --including the 52 new planters--along Raritan and Woodbridge and they are already growing and adding beauty to our downtown. Thanks to all who participated!
